The word compass comes from Latin:  com meaning “with or together,” and passus meaning “step.”

Together, the word compass means to step together or to journey together.

The compass is a traditional symbol used in navigation.  Compasses are symbolic of adventure or journey. True North is essential for a compass to provide meaningful direction.  The compass can also take on the more psychological aspects of guidance: the capacity to give or receive it.

The phrase “discover your true north” was coined by Harvard Business School (HBS) professor and author Bill George.  He explains that discovering your personal true north is about following your internal compass. When you discover your true north, you discover your authentic self.   It is a beautiful combination of your purpose, values, and beliefs.

I look forward to supporting you in finding your way and discovering or reclaiming your true north.
